what are these numbers?

I am trying to determine what these numbers mean when I use AppleScript
to get the alternate color:

set altColor to alternate color of front document

When I do so, I get a list of 3 items 

[ 
	54941, 
	65535, 
	60844 
] 

These aren't RGB values. What are they?
