I thought I answered this a couple days ago, but maybe not.  Answer: 
you cannot set the default notes font.  This is an obvious omission 
that Omni ought to fix (I've been complaining about it for awhile).

Goes into my more general point that Omni ought to work on the details 
of the UI before moving on to major new features...
