Sorry but I thought that was implicit in what I wrote. I guess I didn't make that point clear enough.
Yes, there should be some sample scripts (or even some more robust scripts) to allow for export options and demonstrate to users how to build their own.
I was actually starting work on a Powerpoint builder before I got distracted by other work. One of the things I *was* using OO for was writing presentations and it would have been neat to just export the data into a presentation. I am still thinking of that but I might be creating it as an AppleScript Studio app.
I really do think that you might want to look into AppleScript and AppleScript Studio as they are really quite easy to use (at least AppleScript) and they give you a significant amount of flexibility.
