Shift-up/down

Hi all,

In Outliner, when you've got a row selected (but not editing), shouldn't 
shift-up-arrow (and down) add to the selection in the appropriate 
direction?  Is there something I'm missing?

I just recently had my outline epiphany - bought my license today, in 
fact - so I'm still a bit of a beginner with Outliner.
