intersecting lines

Hello Shirley,

It sounds like you have line hops turned on. Select the lines, then  
open the Lines & Shapes Inspector and change the Line Hops pop-up menu  
to "Do Nothing".

If you want your line tool to stop creating lines with hops, click and  
hold the line tool in the toolbar, and choose Inspect Style. Then use  
the Lines & Shapes Inspector to remove the line hops from the tool  
itself.
