No Geometry for line object?

Hi Karl:
Thanks for the help. Yes that makes sense. The only detail to note for
anyone else who has this problem is that the rectangular object had no
magnets when it was first created. However, when the line was created on
top of the rectangle it attached itself to the middle of the rectangular
object, which I seem to recall is the correct behavior.
So the solution seems to be to create the object without anything under
it and position afterward.
