Me too - I just hit this yesterday.  We can definitely add line- 
widths to the list of things that should be (optionally) scaled.  I  
went to the effort to vector-ise an icon so I could scale it for a  
few different drawings, only to find I had to export it as an image  
and scale that, place it, and scale that.

I could have spent more time doing the icon with shapes with zero  
width lines instead of thick lines, but the effort for return seemed  
to high.

Perhaps there might be some advantage in considering two modes of  
changing an object's (or group's) size: one is "simply resize" the  
other is "scale".  The former for when we need to adjust the way  
something is drawn.  The latter for when we have a final assembly and  
just need everything a bit bigger.
