Transparency across platforms?

Is it possible to know what the transparency level is on a Visio document when it gets imported? 

I ask this question because if I set a transparency level in Visio for an objects' fill, that value is not honored by OmniGraffle. Likewise, any transparency I set for an object in Omnigraffle isn't honored in Visio. I'm beginning to wonder if this value isn't in the .VDX files.
