OmniGraffle 4.0 beta 2 has been released, and this time the so-called
"Standard" or non-professional version of the application is also
available, so those of you who were considering not getting
OmniGraffle Pro can check out the feature set present in Standard,
and we are very interested in getting feedback on that version of the
application as well.
Beta 2 represents a stability release more than anything else, there
are lots of bug fixes and fixes for common crashes (most having to do
with the undo stack), so if you experience error dialogs, crashes or
hangs, please do send that feedback in.
Known Issues:
- The Table resize code is still very much a work in progress, so
resizing table objects (especially those made of autoresizing text
objects such as the UML stencils) is unpredictable, and we hope to
resolve this by the release of beta 3.
- SVG export is currently suffering from issues involving images on
master canvases, and some image types altogether.
- Some work has been done concerning right-to-left languages such as
Arabic in the outline view, so more feedback about that would be
greatly appreciated.
- Some crashes may still occur, and we have some debugging code in
place for those, if that case should arise you'll get a dialog asking
to send in the file you were working on and for a description of what
led to the crash.
You may find the downloads for OmniGraffle 4.0 beta 2 and OmniGraffle
Professional 4.0 beta 2 at our beta page <http://www.omnigroup.com/
