See, to me, that's precisely the sort of thing you prepare in a theme.
Creating/modifying themes is really easy in Keynote, and it does have the
right GUI for that purpose.

(My default theme is almost precisely what you describe: it's a variation
on the standard "Gradient" theme with my chosen font and some logos added.)
