Since it *is* XML and even copy & paste would work, I cannot see the
point why this should be difficult to implement so that OmniGraffle
takes care of "copying & pasting". As an end user, I don't want to mess
with the XML file, even though I know how to use XML.
The only think I can imagine is that actions may not function correctly
anymore if they refer to a canvas which is not copied. But this is also
the case if you delete a referenced canvas.

I was not able to find such a function. I feel that this is very
important as well as a basic feature. That is why I was asking in the
mailing list.
