alerts, can't use stencils!

Hi,

I'm new to OmniGraffle. I found a copy that was bundled with a machine our
project bought and wanted to try it out. The About OmniGraffle menu says
this is OmniGraffle 1.1.5 (v2.1) and I am running it on a PowerBook G4 667
with 768 MB RAM and OS X 10.1.5

I found several palettes/stencils in the Extra section of the website for
omnigraffle and followed the instructions of changing them to .graffle and
putting them in the /Library/Application Support/OmniGraffle/Palettes
folder then restarted.

When I go to select a palette from the palette list (and they show up
there) I get an Alert

*** initForReadingWithData: nil argument

All I can do is hit okay, but it seems I'm out of luck trying the palettes
that give me that error. This happens with all the extras that I change to
.graffle made by others. I tried one of Omni's stencils (Gardening) and
got a different error, but same result.

Any ideas? Am I out of luck?

thanks for your help!
/mark
