Alignment guides

It seems that Graffle's alignment guides are much more akin to those 
found by default in Keynote, rather than those in Interface Builder in 
that it has guides for when objects are vertically and horizontally 
centred, to each other and to the page.

Am I right in thinking that there are no edge guides?  In Keynote, 
these are activated by checking "Show Guides at Object Edges" in 
Preferences.  In Interface Builder, they appear by default.  Is there 
some interaction with, say, the Alignment palette that I'm not 
understanding, or does 3.0 just not do this kind of guide?
