What about generating PDF Files in Screen Layout as a Presentation? 
Another application, the might be a player that does display these PDF's 
fullscreen. These "presentations" would even run on any systems that can 
display PDF :-)

Perhaps there is some way to make the slides fade in / fade out or some 
other nice Quicktime effect?
