Links (enhancement) - diamond vs arrow

What if the indicator for a link were to be a small blue diamond (as in 
NeXT's text editor) that could be relocated to any position around the 
edge of the object?

For me, the blue arrow seems too big and distracting. Something smaller 
and more elegant might be better. Also, the blue arrow in OmniWeb 
indicates a link to something that will be fetched by OmniWeb.

Maybe an arrow (smaller - or sizeable as a preference) for html links 
and a diamond for others?
