2GB SO-DIMMs are not that expensive; try dealram.com, but then 
check the prices against a few other sources

yes, they use the same chips, but i think the most productive 
outcome of answering this query will be to bring light to the 
dark mystery of where look this stuff up: i find everymac.com 
faster than apple.com for specs
