Moving AOL contacts from XP to Leopard Mail

I have a friend who is now two days into her new MacBook Pro 17 and is
beside herself with glee.
AOL works fine in Mail, but she doesn't have any contacts.
Anybody know if there's a way to export the AOL addresses from a WinXP
system?
Or, is she going to have to install the All-In-On Software AOL® for
Mac OS X ?
I'd prefer to NOT install any AOL application.
She'd like to move these AOL contacts into Leopard AddressBook and
start using her .Mac account.
I found this in the Apple forums:
There may be a way to get your AOL Address Book transferred, but you
would have to download and install the All-In-On Software AOL® for Mac
OS X, which can be downloaded from this website AOL Macintosh Downloads.
During the installation process, follow the prompts of the AOL
Installer.
Just make sure, when asked if you have an existing AOL account, that
you would like to use, say Yes.
This should ensure that your Address Book, Favorites, Contacts, and
Filing Cabinetswill be preserved.
Although I'm not sure, as you are transferring from a Windows system.
If it does succeed, you can then use the utility AOL® Service
Assistant, which can be downloaded from this website AOL Macintosh
Downloads, which has additional functions offered, such as;
