MBA's performance - what does it equate to in previous models?

I read the complaints about the MBP vs the MBP and wonder how it
compares to say a 15" G4 if a few years ago. I got lots of good work
done, including video editing and photosop on a 17" machine. So where
does the MBA fit into the spectrm of machines past?

I admit that beyond FCP and CS2 all my other tools don't push even a TiBook.
