 From numerous sources both at Blizzard (on the WoW Forums),  
macrumors.com, and support.apple.com.

No.  The cards DO work in the machines (and 8800GT works just fine in  
any PCI-E Mac Pro), as long as you boot into Windows.  This is not a  
hardware issue, this is an Apple DECISION.
