Aperture, OS X 10.5.2 and Time Machine

I don't have experience with Aperture actually but from the sounds of
it Aperture photos are stored in some kind of a compressed file thus
complicating detection of file modification dates while iPhoto photo's
are stored in plain folders allowing their modification dates to be
picked up like any 'ol file and as a result it is much easier for
iPhoto photo's to be backed up just when there are changes whereas
that is not the case for Aperture photo's.
