Mail password keeps being forgotten...

This started to happen a few days ago, I think after I used  
ServiceScrubber to change a few service shortcuts... Although the  
reason may be totally unrelated.

Now what I get is that every time I launch mail, it will ask for my  
account passwords. Even if I check the box "remember in the Keychain".

I've done my Googling regarding Keychain problems with Mail, so I've  
erased the login keychain and created it again, done a number of other  
things but to absolutely no avail...

Any idea what is going on ?
