Hi John,
It certainly could be related to my switch to Exchange, but I always
CC myself, and as far as I know, this is the only CC that did not get
to my Inbox. I sent a lot of other emails yesterday, and in the week
or two since I switched to Exchange, and not all of them are missing.
To the best of my knowledge, only one message got lost. In fact, I
have received all of the CCs that I sent today (after noticing the
missing CC). So if there was a change of security policy, why would
it only affect this one message?
If this was just an isolated incident, then I can live with that. I
just wanted to be proactive and try to avoid future issues if this was
just a symptom of some larger problem.
It turns out that I can't get help from our sys admin because they do
not support Apple Mail at the place I work. In view of that, I
probably will never be able to figure out what happened. I just hope
it does not continue happening.
Gregg
P.S. Now that you mention it, I think they did institute some security
changes in the last few days, though they were aimed at Windows
machines. Maybe there was some glitch while they were tinkering with
the new settings that caused this to happen.
