Ordering parts from Apple

Hi,

If I recall correctly, there was a "self-service" sort of program, at
least some time during 2005, with which one could order basic parts
for one's laptop -- RAM, keyboard, possibly an AirPort Extreme card,
etc. Maybe those were the only three. Anyway, it looks as though
this program has had the kibosh put on it. I can see the keyboard
reasoning for MacBooks -- it requires opening the computer to get at
the keyboard -- but iBooks are still relatively common (at least
compared with the ancient [*not* TiBook or later] PowerBooks), at
least in my experience. It might, possibly, be administratively or
logistically complicated to implement such a program, but I am curious
as towhat Apple has to lose in providing replacement parts for iBook/
PowerBook owners.

Cheers,
	Andrew
