Leopard mail "Get Mail" button

There are TWO activity monitors.  The little one below th mailbox list  
only shows incoming mesages.  If you don't have anything when you  
clikc 'Check Mail" you will not see anything there.

If you want to see the progress of the checking, open the Activity  
window (Command 0)
