that's a great point ..
There's an Apple seminar (online) on using Macs for music recorded a
few years ago with Pat Metheny, arguably one of the best of the
contemporary jazz guitarists alive today.
He uses Mac workstations at home and Mac laptops on the road.
He said you need to think of these Macs as "instruments"
themselves .. you learn them as you would an instrument -- if you
really want to make them useful.
