Chinese characters

One of my daughters is learning Chinese so I've been playing with Chinese phrases in e-mails.
I'm impressed with how easy OSX and utf-8, make this, but traditional Chinese characters, 繁體字, are too complex to read comfortably when they are as small as the surrounding latin character text.

Is there any way to set sizes to be different for Chinese characters or kanji, maybe twice as big, when reading a text file, without having to reformat the file in rtf or html? Might his be an appropriate feature request?
