Finder Sidebar Broken in Leopard

I believe this may be related to the following issue I have reported to Apple:

* diskimages-helper does not seem to release diskimages when they are
unmounted in some cases, this results in the images having to be
forcefully rm'd while that process still thinks it has the image open,
not sure if this has any adverse effects on the filesystem... (Apple
bug report #5567406)
