my comment about logic was separate

UPGRADE

I couldn't do a clean install because the Native Instruments Installer  
(I use their Kontakt Player for samples from Garritan and Sibelius)  
doesn't work on Leopard.

Had I done a CLEAN install, I wouldn't have been able to install the  
player -- this would have eliminated the use of about 500 bucks or  
more worth of samples I need for scoring.
