Highpoint not supporting some of their raid cards under Leopard

  I can no longer recommend Highpoint Technologies cards for Mac OS X  
machines.  Not quite 3 years ago I bought one of their first OS X  
supported cards, an 1820A, and have been using it in my G5.  They now  
tell me there will be no Leopard driver update for this or a few other  
cards and I should update to one of their newer cards.

I told them that this is no way to support their customers. The card  
is not that old.  It is one thing to ask for support for 7 year old  
HW.  This is less than 3 years old.  I told them I would never buy  
another one of their cards based on their terrible support of their  
existing cards and customers.

Avoid Highpoint cards on OS X.  They don't support them and you will  
be left high and dry and told to buy a new card when 10.6 comes along.
