I tried several times on the 26th and it failed. But, when the
10/27/07 Login & Keychain Update came out, I selected both it and the
failed GB update. It appears both have now successfully been
updated. (According to my Installed Updates log).
NOTE: on Oct 25th, I saw the Software Update alert for GB's Jam Pack
Update. At the time, I thought I was going to do a clean install on
the 26th, so I didn't bother running the update. But, I ended up
doing the standard UPGRADE to Leopard - and I'm glad I did, since
Native Instruments states their installer breaks on Leopard. Because
I did a standard Upgrade, I didn't have to run Native Instruments
installer.
I suggest you run the GB update BEFORE you install Leopard. It may be
that my system had a unique quirk, but ...
It seems the audio stuff is a bit tricky: for instance, Apogee
Ensemble is an audio interface which Apple celebrates in their Logic
Pro demos. Apogee worked with Apple to provide software to control
the audio interface - and it shows up in Logic Pro - way cool, you can
control the interface from within Logic. However, the software is
incompatible with Leopard. If you install Leopard (UPGRADE), you
won't be able to boot your machine. Apogee let people know AFTER
Leopard was released. So, some users got bit badly. They say they'll
have a fix in a few weeks.
My MOTU drivers seem to work fine. Although, I've had a few audio
dropouts. It don't think it's the MOTU drivers as my brother-in-law
has had similar dropouts and he doesn't run MOTU.
