Stacks feel out of synch with the rest of the Mac user interface, at
least to me.
I have really come to like Stacks in Aperture where they were designed
into the GUI. In fact I'd like many of Aperture's features to be built
into the Finder. I'd really like the whole concept of where something
is filed to vanish. I had hoped that it would work this way after
Spotlight was released, but it hasn't worked for me. The idea of smart
lists is a good but the implementation seems faulty. I should not have
to wait when I open a smart folder for the system to figure out what
should be in it. There are a ton of extra cpu cycles floating around
so all of that should be kept up to date in the background, always
just there.
