There have been cases in the past where the combo updater has added  
some files that were missing from previous upgrades done by the  
user.  I'd consider that a fluke rather than a feature, but YMMV.

We've installed it on two machines here (Programming Cocoa class  
running), with no problems so far.  One machine had Safari beta  
previously installed, the other didn't.
