Well, firstly, I don't even know how to create global IMAP folders for
a domain. Second, although most of the folders I would want to
exclude are simply mailing lists (so who cares if they are public or
not), if it would confuse some of the other people in my family who
use my personal domain, it would be a bad idea.
It's so annoying that mail.app continues to refuse to provide what
every other IMAP client I've ever seen does at a minimum. Still,
overall it's better than any of the other choices.
