drag and drop URL from Safari location field produces a image?

In Tiger, when you dragged an URL from the location field in Safari  
into Mail, you'd get a link.

Now we get an HTTP icon with a link to the site.   "<domain>.webloc"  
for "web location" ?


Is there a way to change the behavior and revert to what we had?  I  
like to see the full link before clicking on an URL.

Or was this always the case in Tiger ?  I swear dragging the URL icon  
gave us the fully expressed link, but maybe I'm wrong.
