Still not the same thing. Occasionally (I have not been able to  
duplicate it consistently)--in fact frequently--when I eject an  
external drive, EVEN WHEN VIEWING A DIRECTORY PATH THAT IS NOT ON THE  
EXTERNAL DRIVE, the only Finder window I have open, pointing to a  
directory within my own home directory tree, the Finder window will  
close.

This is not desirable behavior. Yes, if I eject a drive and there's a  
window open to that drive, closing the window is expected, but not  
when I'm looking at something else entirely.
