Finder Sidebar Broken in Leopard (updated)

If the window started was opened from the drive mount it will go  
away.  That is standard behavior.  I just did it on Tiger on my  
laptop.  Have not seen what you describe in Leopard yet.  I'll keep an  
eye out for it.
