Viewing WMV video using VLC plug-in for Firefox/Safari?

in my experience, the best support you can get for Windows Media in a  
browser is through the (free) Flip4Mac WMV plug-in.
I also had various problems and conflicts with the VLC plug-in and  
had to disable it.
