Sure is, open Macintosh HD>Applications>Utilities>Terminal, at the prompt
type "sudo rm -rf /System/Library/CoreServices/BOMArchiveHelper.app"
(without the quotes), enter your password when prompted and when done you
will no longer have the Mac OS X archive utility installed :)
