Called the local Apple Store today to see if they had AppleTVs in
stock. Yes.
Then talked it through with my BIL who was debating as well.
We decided we'd each wait for updated minis - hope they have HDMI ...
and better, support two displays.
But yeah - I decided it didn't make sense getting the AppleTV as I
need a mini for a media center anyway --
and with a mini, I can display desktop, videos off the web ... play
DVDs etc
I think the AppleTV is a great device, but I'm fine with paying 3x as
much for a decked out mini and making it a much more powerful media
center.
Will the next mini be a computer + AppleTV (in terms of ports) ? or
is that wishful thinking ?
