Mac output to DVD recorder question

Hello:

I noticed a similar question on this list and was curious how I might  
go Firewire out from my PowerBook G4 into a DVD Recorder so that the  
DVD recorder thinks my data is coming from a DV camera.

I am not happy with the quality I'm getting from converting data over  
TiVo to Go and burning through Toast 8. My DVD recorder has great  
quality and gets 4 hours of video per DVD so I thought that this  
might be a better alternative. I can go straight from TiVo, but I  
need to babysit the TiVo and would prefer to have 4 hours prepped and  
ready, then just play and record.

Any ideas are appreciated.
