Finder search on AE/n shared drive(s)

I'm still trying to figure this thing out.  Was on the phone with  
AppleCare for quite some time today.  I described my entire network  
and settings to the airport extreme specialist - sent in network  
drawings etc.  Network and settings appear to be set up properly.

  Doesn't matter if I hang the LaCie 250 or the miniStack V2 off the  
AE/n, still can't Finder search.

I *can* do a "find" via CLI.  I can also drag and drop files, no  
problem.

So far, only one other person on this talk list has indicated they  
too are sharing a drive off the new AE/n.
Anybody else?  If so, can you do a Finder search?
