Well, on both a MacBook and a MacBook Pro the update went entirely
fine here without any problems. Only thing I instantly noticed:
Control + Eject, which normally brings up the restart / sleep /
logout dialog (as well as related keyboard shortcuts, for example the
one that sends the computer to sleep right away) work differently
now. In the past, tapping the keys was enough to cause an action, and
I already thought stuff were now broken until I found out that after
the 10.4.9 update, you have to keep the keys pressed for ~0.5 seconds
for anything to happen.
Aditionally, the update didn't run as well on a MacPro here at work
this morning. It installed fine, then booted up properly, but after
logging in everything did just hang. It was absolutely impossible to
restart, force quit the finder, or launch any applications. After a
hard reset and another boot everything worked fine, however. iTunes,
as I've just tested, seems to run properly here as well, just like it
does on the above mentioned MacBook and MacBook Pro.
Greetings,
Nils
