searching shared drive - AE/n

update:
I've ruled out the hub (plugged the LaCie 250 directly into the AE/n  
(N-only setup) and still can't search the drive.
I stuck a miniStack on the AE/n -- mounts fine - can't search via Finder

Rik and I have privately exchanged screenshots where I show how  
searches come up empty .. whereas with his LaCie 160, searches via  
Finder work fine.   We each have password for the disk set to "disk  
password".

Is Rik the only other AE/n user on this list with a shared drive?
