colour laser printers, colour laser MFDs

Right now I have an elderly HP colour inkjet MFD which I use to print
items which need colour, and to make some copies. I also have a
Brother monochrome laser which does the bulk of my printing. The HP
drinks ink like there's no tomorrow, despite doing less than 10% of
my print jobs, even if you include the copy jobs, as for many copies
I scan in the item and print it on the Brother.
I'm looking for something to replace _both_ systems: a nice colour
laser printer or MFD. If a printer, I'd have to get a good scanner to
replace the scan section of the MFD, but that's not a big problem.
What I'd like is a _network_ colour laser which does PostScript (or a
clone thereof, one major problem with the Brother is that it is PCL
only and its graphics output is... not that good) and can handle
letter/legal/A4 size paper. If a MFD, the scan section should be able
to handle letter/legal/A4 as well. Scanning and copying, if a MFD,
should work over the network.
Price is an object; any money devoted to this will have to come out
of my Replace the iMac with a Mac Pro Project.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
