Failing Dock (was Re: Stacks - a part of the Finder or just the Dock?)

Hi, Ashley (et al.),

I've checked out your previous posts and you do make sense, but I'm  
not sure why Apple couldn't retain a multi-type-of-item Dock and put  
tabs in it such that running apps appeared in one tab, files and  
folders in another, and minimized windows in another.

It's all a matter of opinion, to be sure, and perhaps I haven't  
thought things through properly.  I'll go reread your earlier posts.
