Now, someone will make an easy graphic tool for this and that will be  
it.

Why Apple didn't enable this from the beginning, I don't understand  
(and no, I don't buy the whole "simplicity" thing because quite  
frankly, connecting a bloody USB drive is not the pinnacle of  
complication).
