Apple acquires CUPS source

Pursuant to our previous discussion about how Apple deals with GPL
software, they've just acquired CUPS.
CUPS was GPL/LGPL and was owned by Michael R. Sweet. Now it's owned
by Apple so any pesky changes to the GPL won't hinder them in future.
And they can get rid of the "bran" interface to CUPS and make it all
shiny shiny...
I mentioned before that I had a developer working for me. I do the
Google thing and provide him with free time to work on open source
projects while still getting paid. But I insist it has to be BSD
licensed. Because the BSD license is Free.
(of course I may have just hired him to work for my CURRENT employer
in my team....which means starting to look for another Cocoa-chomping
poorly-paid-but-at-least-paid intern sometime soon)
