While it appears you can only sync with one Mac, you can stream from  
a number of others (apparently up to 5). I expect you'll need iTunes  
to be running on the Mac that's doing the streaming, so a USB drive  
attached to an AE base station probably won't cut it.

Then again, none of this has shipped yet so we have nothing to test  
it on.
