"iMac is back" (in spirit)

Looking at the new iPod Shuffle lineup, I cannot help but think about  
the original iMac lineup that came out (after the original bondi  
blue).  That original iMac lineup of ftuity colored iMacs spawned  
years of design offshoots in every sort of conceivable product genre.

The iMac went from the bondi blue to the fruity lineup through more  
"serious colors" to the white and metal that we've seen to the white  
and black and metal we see now.  And now we are back, almost 10 years  
later (ok, about 8 or 8.5) to the fruity lineup in the iPod Shuffle  
and the Nano.
