Here's the deal, gang.

I've decided I'm ready to pass the moderation baton to someone else.  
I emailed Ken, so we'll see what he figures out. There are no  
regrets, I just want to invest my energy in other things. I'll still  
be present on the list. For now, please do me a personal favor and  
drop the thread that's currently in dispute. If you want to pick it  
back up later, you can discuss it with whoever decides to take up the  
task.

I don't know exactly when I started doing this, but I think it's been  
about five years. A lot of interesting things have happened in our  
little group since. For reference, when I started doing this, there  
was no iTunes and Mac OS X couldn't play DVDs.

And to leave all of this on a positive note: the Mac was introduced  
23 years ago today. Here's the Kottke post from 2005 with video from
